The basic steps to any good skincare regime are to cleanse, tone, and moisturize, but have you ever paused for a moment to think about what could make this seemingly good regime, well, great? The secret lies in the hidden benefits of milk. But not just any milk, we’re talking about nutrient-rich goat milk!
Trust us, we know what you’re probably thinking. “You’re telling me to add goat milk… To my skincare routine??"
We know, it may sound a little crazy when we say goat milk should be an essential part of your skincare routine, but let us explain.
The Rich Benefits of Goat Milk for Your Skin
Do you know how many amazing benefits come naturally from goat milk? You may be surprised.
Goat milk has benefits for your whole body when consumed, but it also has benefits specifically for your skin when applied topically. Now, we’re not talking about pouring goats milk over your body every day. Though that would actually be good for your skin, it’s not economical or practical. So we have a few better options for how you can easily integrate this nutrient-rich product into your skincare regime. But first, let’s review the all the amazing benefits goat milk offers for your skin.
Naturally Antibacterial
In case you missed it, the FDA ruled out traditional antibacterial soaps as not being so antibacterial after all. In fact, the chemicals used to make soaps antibacterial are better to be avoided! Triclosan, a chemical commonly found in antibacterial soaps and beauty products, is not only used in products you put on your skin but is an active ingredient in many pesticides.
“... Laboratory studies have raised the possibility that triclosan contributes to making bacteria resistant to antibiotics. Some data shows this resistance may have a significant impact on the effectiveness of medical treatments, such as antibiotics.” - US Food & Drug Administration
While traditional antibacterial soaps should be avoided, goat milk actually serves as a natural defense against bacteria and is commonly recognized in the beauty industry for its natural antibacterial properties. That’s right — it helps clean your skin AND fights acne by keeping harmful bacteria at bay, all at the same time.
Gentle Exfoliator
One of the coolest things about goat milk is that it contains lactic acid (an alpha-hydroxy acid).
Alpha-hydroxy acids gently slough away dead skins cells. That means old cells slough off with ease when goat milk is added to the mix, leaving you with smooth, hydrated and vibrant skin. So if you’re looking for a natural exfoliator, this is it. Harsh exfoliators leave your skin red and irritated, but goat milk soap is gentle and does the hard work for you (without it feeling like work!).
Excellent Moisturizer
Once you add goat milk to your beauty regime, you’ll realize the true meaning of the word “moisturizing”. The magic is in the fatty acids and proteins found in goat milk. They work together with premium skincare oils (like the ones found in our bars of goat milk soap) resulting in a truly moisturizing experience that your skin craves. It’s never a good idea to let your skin dry out, so remember to keep your skin (the largest organ of your body) moisturized daily to prevent a whole mess of problems (like premature aging).
Soothes Eczema and Psoriasis
Okay, maybe we spoke too soon. By far the coolest fact about goat milk soap is how we’ve seen it help people suffering from eczema, psoriasis, and other similar skin conditions, starting with our son, Chance!
While other products cause irritation to eczema-ridden skin, resulting in cracked, bleeding, and excessively dry skin, our goat milk soap does the exact opposite. It has been known to help offer those suffering from dry skin conditions relief from their symptoms and often times, relief that lasts and outperforms the results from other popular treatments. Do you want to give our soap a try for your eczema or other skin-related issues? Order a bag of our milk bath and get yourself into the bathtub. A 10-minute soak will leave your skin feeling soft, itch-free, and hydrated. Don’t believe us? Read some of the testimonials people have left us.
Vitamins, Minerals, and Anti-Aging Agents that Feed Your Skin
Just like you feed your body with vitamins and minerals to keep it healthy, you should also feed your skin!
Remember: Your skin is your largest organ and it soaks in what you put on it (yes, that means soaps, lotions, deodorants, perfumes, etc.), so it’s important that you are mindful of the ingredients you are using in your everyday skincare regime. Goat milk contains naturally occurring vitamins and minerals — ones your skin craves and needs to stay bright and healthy. Keep this in mind as you apply products to your skin.
Goat milk soap is also able to delay the aging process. How? The fat molecules in goat milk contain anti-inflammatory properties (the perfect agent to smooth wrinkles and keeping pimples at bay) as noted by Dr. Axe.
Not only that, but many people have told us about how much they enjoy using our goat milk soap as a makeup remover. Here’s what Tiffany from Don’t Waste the Crumbs had to say:
“On most days, my makeup consists of homemade tinted moisturizer, homemade powdered foundation and mascara – NOT the waterproof kind since it irritates my eyes. This soap took all of this off without any issues and no need for additional makeup remover.” - Tiffany, Don't Waste the Crumbs
Because goat milk has the moisture, vitamins, minerals, and essential exfoliating properties our skin needs to stay vibrant and youthful (like the lactic acid), it is commonly considered to be nature’s fountain of youth from people who integrate it in their everyday beauty regime. Okay, we’re not saying goat milk will make you live forever, but it certainly keeps your skin looking younger, refreshed, and healthy, and is definitely THE thing missing from your skincare regime.
Alright, so what are you waiting for? Give goat milk a try and see how it can dramatically impact your skincare regime. If you’re not sure where to start, a simple bar of our goat milk soap can — and will! — do wonders. Trust us... Your skin will thank you!

Thanks and keep up the great work! Such a nice website! And congratulations on your latest family addition!
I love all of your products. What actually would be great is for you to develope skin care products for the face. It is hard to use bar soap on the face . Would love a cream soap, day and night moisturizer. There must be some how you can develop these products with goats milk.I know all your customers would love a line of face products.
